Albany Bike Rescue (ABR) is an all volunteer organization with a mission to make cycling accessible to all Albany residents through re-use of donated bicycles and by bike maintenance education. ABR will teach anyone who is interested about bicycle maintenance in our bicycle shop. ABR currently occupies space at the Trinity Alliance located at 15 Trinity Place in downtown Albany. Since becoming a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization in 2016, we have expanded our operations and education programs two fold. Through our CDTC funded Bike Voucher program we provide repaired bicycles to low income Albany residents.
We are now seeking a larger donated space for continued expansion and the establishment of a true community workshop. 2000+ square feet with ground level access in the City of Albany is essential. Such a workshop would provide the under served Albany cyclist access to bicycles, parts, tools and volunteer assistance that they otherwise might not have available. Trinity Alliance has been a gracious host for ABR since 2003, however, we are now seeking assistance from the City of Albany with identifying and securing new space that will enable the free exchange of ideas and services to the community. We welcome you to visit our space and experience ABR’s mission during our normal operating hours of 6-8pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Feel free to bring your bicycle and one of our skilled mechanics will ensure your bike is in perfect working order. Best regards, Dan Craven For the Board of Directors Albany Bike Rescue
