Who We Are

Albany Bike Rescue (ABR) provides a community for the exchange of bicycle maintenance and repair skills and to make cycling accessible to people in the Albany NY area by the re-use or recycling of donated bicycles, bicycle parts and accessories. Established in 2003, incorporated in 2016.

Interested in volunteering?

You don't need bike mechanic skills to become a volunteer. We also need assistance with web design, social media outreach, event staffing, and more. If you'd like to help ABR with your skills and time, visit our Volunteer page to get started.
Open Shop Night
Tuesdays 6-8pm

Open to the public. Space is often limited, but you can reserve a workstation.

Volunteer Shop Night
Thursdays 6-8pm

For volunteers only! This is the day we work on bikes to sell to the public to support the bike rescue.
LOCATION

DISCLAIMER: We are not a bike shop! We will help you through the process of fixing your bike, but we will not do it for you. Volunteers are there to teach you. Please remember this as you are entering ABR.
